Our home, Christopher House, is in the center of a tiny village of ancient homes. It was built in 1795 and was originally named “Village House.” The members of our household are all known and accepted on their own merits. The library across the street and the general store/post office are a great aid to developing independence.

Our family is multi-generational with an age range from active 70’s down to our three year old. We have expanded our family to include three individuals with special needs. The main criteria for our coming together are respect, appreciation, and a general fondness for one another.

Each of the members of our family has activities and tasks individually suited to them. We own three cows and two horses and have raised some great Labrador puppies. We are also establishing a bee colony.

All of this becomes part of our work program, but we go outside the household for more artistic activities like therapeutic horseback riding, eurythmy, and so much more. Every person participates according to their abilities and desires.

At the moment we have no vacancies, but life is full of change. As always, visitors are welcome. Y'all come see us.
